::model:moment::

I decided to write about one of my favourite models of the moment Siri Tollerod. This norweigan ethereal beauty has taken the fashion industry by storm.
I will be including some excerpts from the magazine Henne, interviewed by Lisbeth Guldbrandsen and translated by Birgit @ TFS.
The 22 year old 5’10” stunner was born in Kristiansand, Norway on August 18th, 1988.
Her agency at the moment is Trump models and she currently resides in New York, New York (then again, what model doesn’t, lol).
Siri was scouted when she was 16-years-old when she went to the mall with some of her friends in her hometown. Three years later, who would have thought that Tollerod would be walking the couture runways and shooting with Steven Klein.
Siri did some modeling in the very beginning and returned back home to finish her schooling, as soon as she received her diploma; that was when she began to take the fashion industry by storm.
Siri has been on the cover of Italian Vogue, French Revue and Muse. She has been featured in many fashion editorials in magazines such as Numero, Harpers Bazaar and Vogue Italia and Vogue UK.
She has worked with photographers such as Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, Miles Aldridge and of course Steven Klein.
The beginning wasn’t always easy for Siri, she was a rookie after all and had a difficult time her first year in Milan. It was then when she returned to finish school in her homeland; Siri booked 60 shows in Milan, Paris and New York.
Modeling has forced Siri to grow up a lot faster than some of her friends, but she says that they say that she is the same old Siri. Which she appreciates.
When asked which characteristics have made her such a popular model, Siri says, “I know what I want and I am patient. As a model, you have to be strong and believe in yourself. It’s been very good with my Mom and Dad’s support. Besides, you have to take good care of yourself, because a model has to look good. I am careful that I get enough sleep, eat alot of fruit and vegetables and drink alot of water. And it’s important to smile and be positive.”
Over the years Siri has taken more of an interest in fashion, before she said it had been a bit tiring because she didn’t always want to dress stylishly on a regular basis, but then had to look at it from a point of view that she is a model and a model’s job is to look good.
She describes her own style as classic with a bit of a cocky edge.
She says that this Autumn she will keep a jean shirt and old jeans in her closet along with a blazer with wide shoulders and a jumpsuit with some really cool pairs of shoes.
She also states that she has to be careful. “The worst thing is to be gone so much from your family and friends. I travel back to Kristiansand three to four times every 6 months to have my Mom’s dinner and walk in my pajamas and meet with old friends.
When asked what she wants to do in the future aside from modeling, Siri says she wants to possibly study marketing or physiotherapy but has time to decide.
I don’t think this Norwegian stunner won’t make several appearances in our fashion magazines the next few years. ;)
