::DIY:sugar:&:honey:scrub::

Alright...finally! I keep saying I am going to share my honey and brown sugar scrub and finally it is here!
Tadaaaa!

This is a super simple recipe to try out at home..
You can use regular sugar if you want but brown sugar is more coarse and really gets into those pores and is also gentler, believe it or not and more beneficial for people with sensitive skin.
Let me begin by stating the obvious - this is a *natural* exfoliator and natural IS better! This brown sugar and honey scrub scrubs dead skin cells and makes way for healthier, beautiful glowing skin! Let's break this bad boy down a bit...

Brown sugar is full of glycolic acid which is important for maintaining healthy skin and helps protect the skin from toxins along with fighting bacteria.
Now the honey {make sure you use raw and not the processed crap} is a natural humectant which means that it absorbs moisture from it's environment and deposits it into the skin - an added benefit is it's natural protective aid against sunburns. The honey keeps the moisture locked into the skin and is also a natural antibacterial which is great for the treatment of acne and for prevention as well.
Raw honey is full of antioxidants as well which is great for slowing down the aging process and is clarifying, which means that it opens up the pores, making it easier to unclog.

This scrub cleanses the skin, moisturizes and conditions as well as tightens...and, you can use it as a hair mask! Who'da thunk it??

So this is the simple recipe...right here!
This makes a small batch...but you can totally make more...for my little jar, I used about 2 tablespoons, to just try it out at first...you also don't want to make too much..because this is natural and can go rancid. That is also why it is super important that you use an air-tight lid as well.
So....are you ready for it...it really isn't that complicated...
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
THAT'S IT!!
You mix it all up until it forms a paste and then you just transfer it to your little mini jar {for all the fellow Canadians, I got my little jar from Zehrs in the cutlery/dishware section!}.

Now, how do you use it, may you ask?
Even simpler.
Just splash some water on an already clean mug - meaning your face - and then apply some of the honey and sugar scrub and rub in a circular motion. Avoid your peepers...as this will obviously irritate them. Then rinse your face well and pat dry.
And that is it! :)

See how ridiculously simple this is? And you will be thanking me...because your skin WILL be glowing and super soft!

Do you guys have any natural home skin treatment DIYs that you do on a regular basis?
